Chronometers in Motorsports

Another weekend of no racing on the TV got me thinking about the design of the new Indianapolis® Chronograph. It's an evolution of the 2016 version but in my opinion a little more refined. I love the design which got me thinking, why did it turn out that way?

American racing series have always been something that's been difficult to get in to until the last few years of digital TV and online streaming. Previous to that it was always old news via whatever print media bothered to cover some of what I though were the greatest races ever.  Races like the legendary Indianapolis, Detroit and Long Beach.
