Omologato becomes Official Watch Partner of Crescent Yamaha WorldSBK

Omologato, having partnered the British Superbike series previously, has enjoyed the passion and competitiveness found on two wheels. When the opportunity arose to go to the pinnacle of the sport and work as Official Watch Partner with Crescent Yamaha, home of the Yamaha WorldSBK Champion Team and star riders Toprak Razgatlioglu and Andrea Locatelli, Omologato was ready!

“We’re absolutely delighted to work with Team Principal Paul Denning to put this association together,” said Omologato Founder Shami Kalra. “My passion for detail and core values resonate really well with everyone I’ve worked with so far at Crescent. We are looking forward to building on this relationship with Omologato and the WorldSBK Champions by releasing some very special watches.”

The partnership sees the announcement of a very limited edition Chronograph (54 pieces, to reflect the racing number made famous by both Toprak and his mentor Kenan Sofuoglu) to celebrate Toprak’s WorldSBK Championship victory in 2021 along with two additional “Collectors’ Edition” models, featuring the racing identities of Toprak and teammate Locatelli.

As ever, throughout the season Omologato will be introducing special events for its customers with the team.

Fresh from a record-breaking FIM Supersport World Championship title with 12 dominant victories in 2020, Italian rider Andrea Locatelli stepped up to WorldSBK with Yamaha in 2021. In his rookie season, “LOKA” impressed all to take his first podium in only his fifth race weekend on the official R1 WorldSBK – and in quick succession his second podium “on the bounce” at the following round. 

He finished fourth overall in the Riders’ Championship, contributing to the team’s outstanding championship-winning year and taking a total of four podiums in the premier class on his way to celebrating Rookie of the Year.
